イケイケチャイム｜Upbeat Chime

新幹線で名古屋駅に近づいてきたら、違和感のある音楽が流れてきた。一度気になると、駅ごとに気になる。20年ぶりに東海道新幹線のチャイムが変わったらしい。コロナがひと段落して明るい感じにしたかったという意図があるみたいだ。とはいえ今まで短調っぽいチャイムで「やれやれ、ようやく到着かー、ふぅー」というちょっと哀愁な気分がいきなりテンション高く「イェー！行くぜー」と変わってしまった。どれくらいでボクも新しいチャイムに馴染んでイケイケな気分になるのかが楽しみだ。（絵と文：サカキテツ朗）

As I approached Nagoya Station on the Shinkansen, I heard some strange music. It seems that the chimes of the Tokaido Shinkansen have been changed for the first time in 20 years. It seems that the intention was to make the chimes more cheerful after the Corona had ended. However, the chime used to sound like a minor key and made me feel a little melancholy, like "Oh dear, we have finally arrived", and it had changed "whew! Let's go!" I'm looking forward to seeing how long it will take for me to get used to the new chimes and get into a more upbeat mood. -Text and illustration by Ted Sakaki
