次の予約｜Next Reservation

お寿司屋さんでひとしきり食べて満足満足と最後のお茶を飲む。すると「次の予約どうしますか？」と聞いてくる。「次は早くて来年の2月になりますが。」このタイミングが絶妙だなぁと感心する。美味しいお寿司を食べた直後で満足感が絶頂に達して、また来たいなぁと一番思っている時。しかも半年以上先というスケジュール。これが来月なんて言われると自分のスケジュールも調整が必要だし、お寿司の気分かどうかもわからない。それが半年先だとこの寿司のスケジュールに他を合わせることになり、万全の体調で望むことになる。先にスケジュールを決めるってポイントだなぁ。（絵と文：サカキテツ朗）

I ate a full meal at a sushi restaurant and drank my last cup of tea, feeling satisfied and content. Then the staff asks me, "How would you like to make your next reservation?" and he followed,"The next one will be in February next year at the earliest." I was impressed by his exquisite timing. I was at the peak of my satisfaction right after having a delicious sushi dinner and was thinking about coming back. And the schedule is more than half a year away. If they said next month, I would have to adjust my schedule and I wouldn't know if I am in the mood for sushi or not. If it is six months away, I will have to adjust my schedule to this sushi schedule, and I will be in perfect physical condition.
