引き算の技術革新｜Technology Innovation by Eliminating

今までは技術革新によってより高度化・複雑化されてきた。自動車部品が３万点、飛行機部品が３００万点とより高度なものはより複雑化されたものだった。しかしEVやドローンはその構造が既存のものに比べてよりシンプルで、パーツ数も少ない。技術革新によって機能は変わらないものの、よりシンプルになってきている。高度化・複雑化の方向ではまだ夢の世界と思っていたタイムマシンも、もしかしたら高度化・シンプル化の方向では実現が近かったりするのかもしれないなぁ。（絵と文：サカキテツ朗）

Until now, it has become more advanced and complicated due to technological innovation. There were 30,000 automobile parts and 3 million airplane parts, and the more advanced ones were more complicated. However, EVs and drones have a simpler structure and fewer parts than existing ones. Technological innovation has not changed the functionality, but it has become simpler. The time machine, which I thought was still a dream world in terms of advanced complexity, may be close to realization in terms of advanced simplicity. -Text and illustration by Ted Sakaki
