いよいよ出産予定日まであと10日となった。妻のお腹も随分と大きくなった。昨晩からは前駆陣痛が始まり、10分くらいの間隔で痛みが襲ってくる。痛み苦しんでいる妻の手を握ったり、背中をさすったりすることぐらいしかできない。全ての人がこのようなプロセスでしか生まれないことに改めて気がつく。ほとんど奇跡のようなプロセスだと思う。しかも妻はサカキ家代表として陣痛選手権に出場している。自分なら途中で脱落してしまいそうだ。少なくとも自分の無力感と感謝の気持ちを忘れないようにしよう。（絵と文：サカキテツ朗）
It's finally 10 days until the expected date of delivery. My wife's belly has also grown considerably. Precursor labor pains began last night, and the pain struck at intervals of about 10 minutes. I can only hold the hand of my wife who is suffering from pain and rub her back. I realize once again that everyone is born only in this process. I think it's almost a miracle process. Moreover, my wife has participated in the labor championship as a representative of the Sakaki family. I'm likely to drop out on the way.
