進化する家電｜Evolving Home Appliances

37度を越える猛暑の中、バカンスから帰って来た家はクーラーが効いていて、きれいに掃除がされている。これもIoTで家電が次々とインターネットにつながり、外から遠隔操作ができるようになったお陰だ。最近ではスマホ操作でご飯も炊ける炊飯器もあるそうで、どんどん便利になってゆく。このお盆休みで家に帰ってきて、玄関のドアを開けるとむわっとした空気が流れ、ロボット掃除機は玄関で息絶えている。どうやらクーラーの設定が暖房で、ロボット掃除機は玄関で脱輪したようだ。進化の過程ではこういうこともあるものだ。さらなる進化を待とう。（絵と文：サカキテツ朗）

It is over 37 degrees Celsius when I return home from vacation to find my house air-conditioned and spotlessly clean. This is thanks to the IoT, which has connected home appliances to the Internet one after another, allowing them to be remotely controlled from outside. Recently, there is even a rice cooker that can cook rice using a smartphone, which is becoming more and more convenient. When I came home during this Bon vacation and opened the front door, the air was stuffy and the robot vacuum cleaner was at the doorway. It seems that the air conditioner was set to heat, and the robot vacuum cleaner had broken free of its wheels at the door. Such things happen in the process of evolution.
