新年度の始まり｜Beginning of the New Fiscal Year

2023年度が始まった。コロナもひと段落してここ数年よりも「さぁ、始まるぞ」という雰囲気がする。海外だと秋から新年度だったり、正月始まりだったりするけれど、日本の４月始まりってとてもいいと思う。徐々に暖かくなって、身体的にも精神的にも活動的になる。また桜がピンクに咲きほこり、視覚的にもボクらを応援しているようだ。正月に誓いを立てたこともリセットして新たにやり始めるにもいい。さぁ、お花見も堪能したし、今年度は何を始めようかな。（絵と文：サカキテツ朗）

The fiscal year 2023 has begun. The Corona season has come to an end, and the atmosphere is more "let's get started" than in the past few years. In other countries, the new fiscal year starts in autumn or at the beginning of the New Year, but I think it is very nice that the Japanese fiscal year begins in April. The weather gradually gets warmer, and people become more physically and mentally active. Also, the cherry blossoms are blooming in pink, which visually cheers us up. It's also a good time to reset and start afresh on the commitments we made on New Year's Day. Now that I've had my fill of cherry blossom viewing, let's see what I can start this year. -Text and illustration by Ted Sakaki
