Preparation for Disasters

There is a 70% chance that a major earthquake will hit Tokyo in the next 30 years. Instead of just waiting for the time to come, we need to be prepared. First, think about preparing water, food, and an emergency toilet. But what should we expect and how far should we prepare? The best preparation may be to move away from Tokyo and move to an earthquake-free area. We have over the next 30 years, so we will not be able to take immediate action. I asked the people around me,”What do you do?” I understood the answer that we need agility and unexpected flexible thinking and action. Certainly, it's best to be able to deal with it when it happens, rather than assuming the unexpected now. -Text and illustration by Ted Sakaki
