150℃までが勝負｜Until Reaching 150℃

久しぶりに薪ストーブを使った。温度がポイントということは前回学んだので、温度計をみながら調整を試みる。太い木を下にして、細い枝を上にして空気がよく入る様に重ねる。ガスバーナーで火をつける。勢いよく火がついたのでやれやれと安堵する。それも束の間、徐々に炎が弱まり、消えてしまう。繰り返すこと数回なかなか火が安定しない。とうとう最後の着火用の木も最後の一本。祈る様な気持ちで見守る。外から風を送ってみるとストーブ内の灰が部屋にまき広がる。ようやく温度計の針が動き、100℃、120℃、ふぅー150℃到達。その後は何もしないでもボウボウと燃え盛る。ある一定のところまで到達するまでが勝負。何においても言えることなんだろうなぁ。（絵と文：サカキテツ朗）

It's been a long time since I used a wood stove. I learned last time that the temperature is the point, so I try to adjust it while looking at the thermometer. I placed the thicker tree on the bottom and thin branches on the top so that air could enter well. I ignited with a gas burner. I felt relieved because it caught fire vigorously. For a short while, the flame gradually weakened and disappeared. I repeated several times, but the fire did not stabilize. Finally the last tree for ignition was also the last one. I watched over with a prayerful feeling. When the wind was blown from outside, the ash inside the stove spread throughout the room. Finally, the thermometer needle moved, reaching 100°C, 120°C, and 150°C. After that, even if I don't do anything, it will burn brightly. It's a difficult time until I reach a certain point.
