異なる視点｜Different Perspective

最近シェアバイクが多くなった。自転車だけでなく、キックボードもあり利用する人も多く見かける。家の近所にも増えたので、近くの鰻屋さんまで借りてみた。電動アシストは自転車自体は重いのだけれど、乗るととても快適だ。今まで息が切れていた坂道もあっという間に登り切れる。これでスイスイ快適と思ったら、都内の交通ジャングルに改めて驚いた。自動車に自転車に人にベビーカーにと、油断をするといろんなところから飛び出してくる。特に歩いている人にはイラついてしまう。横いっぱいに広がったり、急に立ち止まったり、スマホしか見ていなかったり。自転車に乗るまで普通だとしか思っていなかったけれど、視点が変わると感じ方まで変わってしまう。たまには別な視点で見ないとわからないものだなぁ。（絵と文：サカキテツ朗）

Recently, the number of shared bikes has increased. There are many people who use not only bicycles but also kickboards. There are more stations of shared bikes in my neighborhood, so I borrowed them to go to a nearby eel restaurant. The electric assist bike itself is heavy, but it's very comfortable to ride. I can climb up hills that used to take my breath away in no time. Just when I thought it was so comfortable, I was once again surprised by the traffic jungle in Tokyo. Cars, bicycles, people, and strollers will pop out from all kinds of places. People walking was especially frustrating to me. They were spreading all the way to the side, stopping suddenly, looking only at smartphones. I thought it was normal until I got on a bicycle, but when my perspective changes, the way I feel changes.
