つながらないIoT｜Unconnected IoT

家電製品をスマホでコントロールできる機器を買った。エアコンを外出先からスイッチを入れるだけでなく温度調整したり、モードを変えることもできる。その他にもテレビや照明、扇風機など赤外線リモコンで操作する家電であればコントロールできる。家電ライフが一気に便利になり、これぞIoT体感だ。とはいえ、このような機器は最近の技術革新というわけでもなく、前からあるようだ。ただボクがどのようにやっていいのか知らなかった。IoTでモノはつながったけれど、自分の意識だけがつながらなかったようだ。（絵と文：サカキテツ朗）

I bought a device that can control home appliances with a smartphone. Not only can I switch on the air conditioner from outside, but I can also adjust the temperature and change the mode. In addition, I can control home appliances such as TVs, lights, fans, etc. that are operated with an infrared remote control. Home appliance life has become convenient at once, and this is the IoT experience. However, such devices seem to have been around for a long time, not a recent innovation.
