Optical Illusion|2022/05/30

I went to the Science Museum in Kochi City. We can actually experience the refraction of the light of the prism and the principle of the weight of the lever. If there was such a facility when I was in elementary and junior high school, I would have been in the sciences. There was a deception picture that used the optical illusion. When I move, the picture follows. It's the same no matter how many times I do it. Actually, it's not a plane, but a three-dimensional picture, so it seems that such an illusion occurs. However, once I know the structure, this time it looks like a mere three-dimensional picture. I don't think I'm expecting that much learning from this exhibition, but I was shocked to see it only with a great deal of conviction. -Text and illustration by Ted Sakaki
