新しい高校の教科書のニュースを見た。暗記だけでなく、深い学びのための日本史探求、世界史探求という探求科目が新設されたようだ。知識だけでなく、自発的に考えるということはとても大切なことだと思う。この数年教育について考えてきたが、基礎的な５つの「チカラ」を身につけることが必要だと思う。「興味を持つチカラ」「考えるチカラ」「変えるチカラ」「表現するチカラ」「協働するチカラ」の５つで、社会的な生活を営む上で大切なチカラ、エッセンシャル・タレントと呼んでみた。残念ながらこの５つは一度身についても年齢とともに劣化してくる。筋肉・体力と一緒だ。この５つのチカラを維持・促進するためのジムも必要かもしれない。（絵と文：サカキテツ朗）
