Achievement Design|2022/03/04

When collecting questionnaires about job satisfaction, it was found that there was a high correlation with the sense of achievement. It is like the case that someone tried the first thing which was difficult, but he completed. Then how can they feel a sense of achievement? Three factors can be seen from the results of the questionnaire. First of all, self-action. The sense of achievement is not the result of another person's actions or results, and the result of one's own actions. The second is self-awareness. It's not something that makes others feel, but it's something that they recognize as "I've done it well". Rewards and evaluations from others are also important factors, but they seem to be secondary to the sense of achievement. And the third is the goal setting. A sense of achievement can be felt by having goals. The goal setting is neither too high nor too low, and it seems that a sense of achievement may or may not be created depending on the design. It is important to actually do it for a sense of achievement, but it seems that the design before that is more important. -Text and illustration by Ted Sakaki
