Company's Sports Day|2021/09/29
I opened an old album at my parents' house. Among my childhood and family photos I found photos of my father's company's sports day. Sprinting, rolling balls, a costume parade, a family lunch, and a little child cheering party were just one frame of the Showa era. The young staff who hadn't done much work won the victory, and the manager who was always stuffy, couldn't raise his head to his family, and staff who had never met cheered together. These actually seem to include important keywords that are needed now, such as mutual understanding, goal sharing, and diversity. I don't think the company's sports day is suitable for the Reiwa era, but it may be necessary to have an event to replace it. -Text and illustration by Ted Sakaki
