カニの美味しい食べ方|How to Eat Crab Delisicously|2021/01/25

ズワイガニの真っ盛りのシーズンだ。一番好きな食べ方は焼き蟹。焼き蟹といっても炭火で焼くよりも、土鍋で蒸すような焼き方が好きだ。そうすると香ばしい香りとともに、中の味はふっくらと蒸し上がる。甘みがあって、ふわっとしたカニの身は日本酒と本当によく合う。しかし、焼き蟹にも一つ問題がある。それは焼いた直後はおいしいものの、すぐに冷えてしまうところだ。部位ごとにしゃぶしゃぶや鍋などにするのもいいけれど、やっぱり全てを焼きで食べたい。毎年鳥取でカニを堪能していたが、今年は難しい。どのように食べたらいいのだろうと思いを馳せながら2022年シーズンに期待したい。(絵と文:サカキテツ朗)

It's the peak season for snow crab. My favorite way to eat is grilled crab. And I prefer steaming it in a clay pot rather than grilling it over charcoal. Then, along with the fragrant aroma, the taste inside will be steamed plumply. The sweet and fluffy crab meat goes really well with Japanese sake. However, there is one problem with grilled crab. It's delicious right after it's grilled, but it gets cold quickly. It's okay to make shabu-shabu or hot pot for each part, but after all I want to eat everything by grilling. I enjoyed crabs in Tottori every year, but this year it's difficult. I would like to look forward to the 2022 season while wondering how to eat it. -Text and illustration by Ted Sakaki
